Doctrinal Standards

Supreme Standard

Supreme Standard

We hold fast to the sixty-six canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as the wholly true and trustworthy Word of God. Scripture stands as, "the only sufficient, certain, and infallible rule of all saving knowledge, faith and obedience" (2 LCF 1:1). It is the God-appointed lamp for our feet and light unto our path in this dark world, guiding us in the Spirit to walk the narrow road of following Christ, leading to eternal  life.

Subordinate Standards

Subordinate Standards

In subordination to Scripture, we believe the following historical expressions of the Christian religion provide a faithful witness to and summary of what Scripture teaches in matters of first and secondary importance. These subordinate standards  serve  to keep our faith and practice in line with the supreme standard of Scripture.

Reformed Heritage

Reformed Heritage

While we, as Reformed Baptists, differ on secondary matters from many of our Reformed Protestant forebearers (particularly in our covenant theology, ecclesiology, and sacramentology), we, nonetheless, believe that the Westminster Standards, the Three Forms of Unity, and other biblically sound expressions of the Reformed faith, both past and present, do provide us with a rich doctrinal heritage to draw upon to inform our faith and practice, yet always in subjection to Scripture.
